The original Skull Records and its several sub-labels was active from around 1992 until 1996. When the label folded, Rock-O-Rama bought the rights to the back catalog and reissued much of it as a series of 22 CDs with the catalog prefix SKRCD. Some of the reissues were nearly identical to the original releases with some minor changes to the covers and a different catalog number. Others have completely different covers, different titles and some songs omitted.
The packaging for all releases in this series consists of the standard jewelcase with inlay, a single-fold booklet with a blank inner-fold and a Rock-O-Rama mailorder advert on the back page of the outer fold. The discs have the blue printing with black lettering as was common for 1997 and early 1998 Rock-O-Rama CDs. Some have been reissued in black CD-R format after the original pressing sold out, or in some cases, when a song had to be deleted to comply with changes in German law. These black CD-R editions are not included in this discography as they have little to no collectible value.
None of the reissues have a release date, but the matrix codes on the CDs suggest they were released in or around 1997. Most of these reissues are very common and at the time of this writing are available at clearance prices from Rock-O-Rama. A small number of these are difficult to find now, as they have been withdrawn due to more restrictive laws in Germany.
